Joseph Olewitz
Founder & Chief Revenue Officer

Joseph Olewitz is the founder of Virtual Chief Revenue Officer (VCRO), a business he created in 2010 to support entrepreneurs and C-level executives. VCRO provides strategic revenue growth support for businesses of all sizes that can’t justify hiring a full-time, expert Chief Revenue Officer to support existing sales or to create and implement a custom-built revenue growth plan as though it were developed by a staff CRO.

For over 25 years, Joseph was responsible for revenue growth at major global digital agencies selling services and advice to global brands. He served on the global management teams at USWeb/CKS, marchFIRST, and Digitas/LBi. He is passionate about relationship-selling based on the client-centered, pragmatic, business development programs he designs and employs in his day-to-day work.

Joseph is a businessman who is passionate about the power of intentional revenue growth and manifesting aspirational goals. Throughout his career, Joseph has been on the leading edge of introducing and adopting innovative digital platforms. Through VCRO’s Executive Briefing series, Joseph equips CEOs of small and mid-sized businesses with key information about new and upcoming technologies that could provide opportunities for, or pose threats to, future revenue growth. The series delves into disruptive technologies including artificial intelligence, data science, machine learning, quantum computing, blockchain, virtual reality, and more.

His deep experience and diverse background closing new business and building significant partner and sponsorship relationships inform Joseph’s ability to guide businesses in many different verticals; before joining the agency world, Joseph was CEO of a men’s apparel manufacturer and CEO of a documentary film production company.

Joseph writes extensively about building long-term, trusted-advisor relationships, finding new growth and disruptive technology opportunities, and closing new business. He is a coach and mentor to CEOs and entrepreneurs and speaks frequently inside corporations and at industry events. He is a member of the Mentor Panel for startups at Amsterdam-based DutchBasecamp and has served on the advisory boards of several nonprofit institutions and digital startups.
